The Iola-Scandinavia School District is seeking a reliable and energetic individual to join our food service team. This role is vital to ensuring our students receive nutritious meals in a clean, friendly environment. This is an ideal position for those seeking a schedule that aligns with the school calendar.

Schedule

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM (3 hours/day).

• Days: Only on days when school is in session.

• Note: Scheduled work times are subject to change based on district needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic meal preparation and food assembly.

• Provide friendly service to students and staff during lunch periods.

• Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen workspace.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the cafeteria team.

Physical Requirements 

To successfully perform the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

• Stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

• Maintain a full range of fine and gross motor control.

• Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crawl as needed for cleaning/storage.

• Effectively communicate (talk and hear) in a fast-paced environment.
