The Baldwin-Woodville Area School District is currently seeking applications for an IT Systems Specialist.

The IT Systems Specialist is responsible for assisting with administering, configuring, and maintaining the district’s IT infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations. This role supports end-users, troubleshoots hardware, software, and network issues, and assists with the implementation of new technologies and cybersecurity measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Monitor system performance, apply updates, and manage backups/recovery.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide end-user support.
  • Configure and secure networks, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Assist with system integration, project implementation, and vendor coordination.
  • Help maintain documentation, licenses, and IT asset records.
  • Support cybersecurity protocols, monitor logs, and enforce access controls.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience in a related field).
  • 2–5 years of experience in systems or network administration.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of systems administration, networking, cloud/virtualization, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Google Admin Console and Google Chrome devices
  • Experience with Windows Server and PCs
  • Experience with IT in a K12 educational environment preferred
