The School District of Lodi is looking for energetic and caring substitute educational assistants to work in all grade levels with students of all abilities.
No degree required! When you report, your duties will be assigned by a classroom teacher or the building principal. Each job and each day is unique; substitutes should be flexible and enjoy variety.

Here are some of the duties a substitute EA may encounter on the job:
• Assist the teacher in classroom activities.
• Prepare materials for lessons, demonstrations and bulletin boards.
• Operate computers, copiers and other office equipment.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Provide extra help to students with physical, mental or linguistic limitations as directed by teacher.
• Supervise and assist students in all settings: getting on/off bus, crosswalk duty, playground, lunch room, field trips, and classrooms as assigned.
• Enforce school rules and policies.
• Maintain complete confidentiality of student and staff data.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Physical Demands:
- Sit on the floor with students and get up off the floor frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Bend and stoop.
- Walk at a brisk pace.
- Stand for long extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outside in all weather.
