Salem School District consists of a single 4k-8th grade facility with enrollment close to 1,000 students. The school houses the following grade levels: Primary (4K-2nd), Intermediate (3rd-5th), and Middle School (6th-8th). We are seeking an individual who wants to be part of a positive environment for our students and the school community. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative and possess knowledge of or be willing to learn the best practices in education. Teamwork and flexibility are key components to being successful as a special education paraprofessional. The role requires the following duties: - Provides small group or one-on-one instructional support for students with disabilities. - Supports students' behavioral intervention plans when applicable. - Collects student data (academic and behavioral). - Supervises students during lunch and recess. - Meets with and has daily communication with the special education IEP team (regular education teacher, special education teacher, student's guardian(s), etc.) to discuss student academic and behavioral achievement.
