Anticipated Position:  Tomorrow River Community Virtual School Upper Grades Class Teacher

Duties: Seeking an enthusiastic individual to teach in a virtual elementary/middle school guided by the core principles of Public Waldorf Education. The candidate will guide and implement the curriculum to the needs of the individual child, whilst embracing the unity of the class as a whole. The ability to maintain good parent communication and manage the administrative work required is a must in this teacher-led school environment. A love for working with children, teaching online, working with colleagues in a collaborative and supportive manner, and openness for the unexpected is essential. The position will teach main lessons and skills sessions daily to children in grades 5th-8th following the Waldorf-inspired curriculum in a Zoom classroom setting. The teacher will be provided with all technology and supplies needed to work from home. Commitment to continuing education in Waldorf if not fully certified.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Appropriate Wisconsin DPI licensure for the position; 
  2. Experience/training/certification in Waldorf education desired;
  3. Knowledge of virtual learning desired;
  4. Must have effective communication skills – oral, written, and technological, time management and organizational;
  5. Such alternatives to the above that the district may find acceptable; and
  6. Acceptable background check.

Contract Amount:  .60 FTE (the contracted amount could vary depending on enrollment) 2024/25 School Year Calendar as adopted by the TRCCS Governance Board/Salary depending on experience. Begin date August 20, 2024.
