Then apply to be the Director of Teaching & Learning for the Northland Pines School District, which serves 1,283 students.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: helping students reach their academic goals, improving instructional practices, ensuring students and staff have a robust curriculum that prepares all learners for life, and working alongside other passionate administrators. The ideal Director of Teaching & Learning will be a passionate leader who believes in continuous growth and possesses strong communication and collaboration skills.

Applicants must possess a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Administrator license.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the continuous improvement of the district including the use of data analysis 

  • Lead and collaborate with staff to reach academic outcomes

  • Lead and collaborate with staff to plan, lead and evaluate Professional Development

  • Lead and collaborate with staff to support our EL Program

  • Lead and support district’s Title 1 program including programming and staff

  • Effectively communicate with students, staff, parents and Board of Education in written and verbal format

  • Active participation in the Professional Learning Community Process

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate school personnel while using Educator Effectiveness

  • Manage the assessment process for both local and state assessments

  • Actively participate in the development and execution of school policies and innovations to help achieve our district’s mission

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff including building leaders

  • Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and the community

  • Lead the use of, budget, and manage Title Funds

  • Perform other duties as assigned
