Description

The Nicolet High School District, an independent district serving the North Milwaukee suburbs of Bayside, Fox Point, Glendale, and River Hills, is seeking a dedicated Educational Assistant (Paraprofessional) to join our team. Nicolet High School is a diverse, four-year public high school with approximately 1,130 students and a commitment to student achievement, ranking among the highest in Wisconsin for per-pupil investment. Position Overview

The main role of the special education paraprofessional is to support students who receive special education services. The ideal individual will have experience working with a wide range of students, including students with intellectual disabilities. This position involves assisting students on an individual or small group basis under teacher direction to meet individualized academic, behavioral, and social needs. We are looking for a team player who is innovative and able to be flexible to meet the needs of a wide range of students. This position is a full time school-year position and includes benefits. Qualifications

  • Education: An associate degree is required.

  • Licensure: Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Special Education Paraprofessional license from the WI Department of Public Instruction.

  • Experience: Prior experience working with students with disabilities is preferred but not required. Life experience, volunteer work, or other relevant experiences are valued.
