Eagle River Elementary School serves approximately 460 students and operates as a Professional Learning Community committed to ensuring high levels of learning for every student. Our staff is deeply invested in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where strong relationships, high expectations, and evidence-based practices guide daily decision-making. ERES is focused on being a destination school for students, families, and staff, grounded in academic excellence and a positive school culture.

The Assistant Principal will play a key role in advancing ERES priorities, including:

  • Supporting high-quality instruction and strong academic outcomes through data-informed decision making and collaboration within the PLC framework

  • Strengthening systems for Multi-Level Systems of Support (MLSS) to meet the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of all learners

  • Promoting a positive, student-centered school climate rooted in shared responsibility, consistency, and restorative practices

  • Supporting student behavior and social-emotional growth by maintaining and refining schoolwide behavior systems and targeted intervention spaces, ensuring consistent, proactive, and restorative support for all students.

  • Supporting student attendance, engagement, and well-being

  • Partnering with staff to build capacity through coaching, feedback, and meaningful evaluation practices

  • Collaborating closely with the principal, district administrators, families, and community partners to support school-wide and district initiatives

The ideal candidate is a reflective, growth-oriented leader with strong communication skills who values teamwork and relationships. This individual is committed to continuous improvement, believes deeply in supporting both students and staff, and is eager to contribute to a school culture where adults learn alongside students.

In addition to joining a collaborative and forward-thinking school community, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to live and work in the Eagle River area, one of Wisconsin’s most beautiful outdoor destinations, known for its strong community support for schools and families.
