Action Research Community High School seeks a founding Family and Enrollment Coordinator to build relationships with families and lead student recruitment for Milwaukee's first Gold Standard project-based learning high school. Opening Fall 2026, ARCHS will serve 80 students in grades 9-12 on Milwaukee's South Side, growing to 160 students at capacity.

The Family and Enrollment Coordinator reports to the Principal and is responsible for student recruitment, enrollment management, family engagement, and community outreach. This is a critical founding role—you will be the first point of contact for families considering ARCHS and the ongoing bridge between school and community.

Our target community is Milwaukee's South Side Latino families in ZIP codes 53204, 53207, 53215, and 53221. Success in this role requires deep cultural competency, authentic relationship-building skills, and genuine connection to our community.

Key Responsibilities

Lead student recruitment campaigns including school fairs, community events, and partnerships with feeder schools

Manage the enrollment process from inquiry through enrollment, including applications, lottery (if needed), and registration

Build and maintain relationships with families, serving as primary liaison between school and home

Coordinate family engagement events, orientations, and ongoing communication

Develop partnerships with community organizations, churches, and local businesses

Create and distribute bilingual marketing materials and school information

Track enrollment data, maintain waitlists, and report on recruitment progress

Support student retention through family relationship-building and early intervention

Application Instructions

Submit resume, cover letter, and three professional references through WECAN. In your cover letter, please address: (1) your experience building relationships with families from diverse backgrounds, (2) your connection to or understanding of Milwaukee's South Side Latino community, and (3) why you want to help launch a new school.

Equal Opportunity Statement

ARCHS is committed to building a diverse team that reflects the community we serve. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who identify as Latino, bilingual, and/or from Milwaukee's South Side.
