The Berlin Area School District and Clay Lamberton Elementary School are searching for a passionate and talented full-time special education teacher.  Under the direction of the building administration and the Director of Special Education, the special education teacher provides prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students with disabilities. These services are designed to increase student access, engagement, and progress in the general education classroom. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching multi-age students with behavioral and lagging social-emotional skills. To honor the time commitment of special education case management, a per-student stipend will be awarded twice per school year to each special education teacher.

Clay Lamberton Elementary School is a place where all students find success. Our student body of approximately 440 students has opportunities to learn and grow from a young age. In our primary grades, students explore play-based learning, social-emotional lessons, mathematics built on conceptual understanding, and literacy taught with a focus on the Science of Reading. In our upper grades, students continue to build conceptual mathematical understanding to prepare them for middle school, expand their foundational literacy skills aligned with the Science of Reading, and dig into complex science and social studies theories and lessons. Additionally, all students have access to physical education, music, art, and STEM specialist courses. We believe that the elementary school experience is critical to the development of the overall student and their future success as a learner.

Clay Lamberton Elementary (4K-5), Berlin Middle School (6-8), and Berlin High School sit on the same campus and serve as a hub of activity for the greater Berlin community. The Berlin Area School District is composed of 14 municipalities, with the City of Berlin at the center.  Berlin is a rural community with a population of 5,500 located approximately 20 minutes west of Oshkosh and 10 minutes north of Green Lake. The Fox River runs through the center of the historic Victorian downtown. Agriculture, health services, light industry and retail shops comprise Berlin’s economy.
