The Berlin Area School District and Clay Lamberton Elementary School are looking for a data-literate Academic Interventionist to support academic achievement by delivering targeted interventions in reading and/or math for students performing below grade level. Using data-driven practices and evidence-based intervention materials, the interventionist will provide Tier III instruction. In addition, they will educate, care for, and inspire the minds of our elementary learners. Creating and building relationships with children and families is at the heart of the work we do. It is an essential component for children and families to feel connected to the school community and for learning to take place. Collaborating with other elementary teachers and professionals throughout the school is essential in this position.

Clay Lamberton Elementary School is a place where all students find success. Our student body of approximately 440 students has opportunities to learn and grow from a young age. In our primary grades, students explore play-based learning, social-emotional lessons, mathematics built on conceptual understanding, and literacy taught with a focus on the Science of Reading. In our upper grades, students continue to build conceptual mathematical understanding to prepare them for middle school, expand their foundational literacy skills aligned with the Science of Reading, and dig into complex science and social studies theories and lessons. Additionally, all students have access to physical education, music, art, and STEM specialist courses. We believe that the elementary school experience is critical to the development of the overall student and their future success as a learner.

Clay Lamberton Elementary is one of three schools that make up the Berlin Area School District.  Clay Lamberton Elementary (4K-5), Berlin Middle School (6-8), and Berlin High School sit on the same campus and serve as a hub of activity for the greater Berlin community. The Berlin Area School District comprises 14 municipalities, with the City of Berlin at the center.  Berlin is a rural community with a population of 5,500 located approximately 20 minutes west of Oshkosh and 10 minutes north of Green Lake. The Fox River runs through the center of the historic Victorian downtown. Agriculture, health servces, light industry, and retail shops comprise Berlin’s economy.
