Position Summary: The Community Education, Engagement & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing, promoting, and managing a comprehensive, multi-dimensional educational program that serves all residents of the School District of Tomahawk. This role includes recruiting qualified instructors, coordinating program logistics, determining course costs, securing materials, and promoting classes through effective advertising and communication strategies.
In addition to coordinating community education offerings, the Coordinator oversees district-wide scheduling of facilities and vehicles, ensuring efficient and equitable use of school spaces and resources. The position manages facility rental processes, including agreements, billing, and communication with internal and external users.
 
The Coordinator also provides logistics coordination for all school and district events, ensuring that scheduling, setup, communication, and promotional needs are met. This includes creating marketing materials, designing graphics, and developing promotional content across various platforms to support district initiatives, events, and community engagement.
 
The role further includes managing the use of the school forests, coordinating access and programming, and serving as a central point of communication and collaboration between staff, instructors, community partners, and district administration to ensure high-quality experiences for participants and community members.
 
 
Reports to: District Administrator
• Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in arranging workshops, classes, or projects.
• Experience in handling several activities or projects at one time.
• Experience in working with the general public.
• Experience working with community agencies and organizations.
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include some evening and weekend hours.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
