Position Overview:

The Unified School District of Antigo is seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers to support student learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers. Substitute Teachers are responsible for implementing lesson plans, maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment, and supporting students' academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher.

• Maintain classroom control and ensure student safety.

• Report any student incidents or issues to the appropriate school personnel.

• Follow all district policies, procedures, and building rules.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Wisconsin Substitute Teacher License

  • Must be approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI)

  • Acceptable license types include:

    • Three-Year Short-Term Substitute License

    • Five-Year Long-Term Substitute License

    • Active Teaching License

• Ability to manage a classroom and deliver instructional content effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
