The Darlington Community School District is looking for a dynamic person to become the leader of Darlington School District Maintenance Department in Darlington, Wisconsin. We are seeking an innovative leader who will create a collaborative environment with the staff.  The leader hired for this role will begin as soon as possible.

 Strengths we seek:

  • Effective communication with staff;
  • Effective interpersonal communication, facilitation, motivational, and managerial skills;  
  • Skills related to planning, scheduling, budgeting, supervision, and evaluation.

Responsibilities include the following:  

  • Complete work orders for the school principals and administrative office for the building and ground maintenance and construction.  Work will have been checked and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Directing and scheduling staff for district-wide building and ground maintenance programs in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Assign staff, work schedules of renovation, remodeling and repairs of school district building and ground facilities.
  • Develop and carryout plans, specifications for landscaping and other improvements within designated district budget.
  • Itemize budgets for buildings and ground maintenance operations to be performed by district crews and submit to District Administrator for approval.
  • Complete and coordinate district budget requests and projected district-wide maintenance and construction needs with district officials.

Experience:

Five years of experience in building construction or maintenance work.
