HOURS: Monday thru Friday, flexible work hours, 10-29 hours/week
(6:15 am-9:00 am and/or 3:30 pm-6:00 pm)

WORK PERIOD: School Year

SALARY: $11.00-$13.00/hr (Category I), depending on experience

BEGINNING DATE: September 4, 2025

These individuals will assist the Recreation Supervisor and Site Supervisor in the direct leadership and supervision of activities, participants, and staff at the assigned site along with supervision and instruction of the children involved in the Kids’ Campus Program. Group Leaders will be responsible for the daily operations of the site. They will assist with the planning and implementation of monthly theme oriented schedules, educational components, community service projects, art-n-crafts, children’s games, active games, and the overall promotion of the programs as guided by the Recreation Supervisor. Candidates must be prepared to perform other duties as identified in the position description listed below.

Position Description
GROUP LEADER – KIDS’ CAMPUS

Qualifications:
1. At least 16 years of age with an educational background
2. Knowledge and experience in supervision of children
3. Ability to work before and after school hours set during the week (6:15 am-9:00 am and/or 3:30 pm-6:00 pm)

Reports to:
Site Supervisor – Kids’ Campus
Recreation Supervisor-Youth Programs

Performance Responsibilities:
• Provides constant leadership and supervision and leadership for the program participants
• Maintain leadership and control through example; be polite, helpful, respectful-follow site rules
• Develop and maintain a friendly working relationship with school district personnel
• Be familiar with the current M-T Recreation Manual, including current Kids’ Campus policies and registration procedures
• Records daily attendance and tracks that participants are pre-paid, otherwise notifying the Recreation Supervisor-Youth Programs so participants can be billed
• Handles the questions and complaints of parents in the most tactful manner possible
• Meets with the Recreation Supervisor-Youth Program for staff meetings and performance evaluations
• Be prepared to react to an emergency situation: be certain that you are aware of the locations of the first aid kit, biohazard clean up supplies and telephone
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned

Terms of Employment:
• Nine/ten month year
• Subject to terms of the Mequon-Thiensville School District Educational Support Personnel Handbook

Evaluation:
• Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Educational Support Personnel
