Stone Bank School, located in the heart of Lake Country, is seeking an energetic, dynamic, student-centered team player to serve our school community as a primary grade special education teacher. Stone Bank strives to educate and empower ALL learners for their future.
The ideal candidate in this position should value team building and collaboration with staff, students, and families to create a challenging and nurturing learning climate and culture. Our intent is to engage and empower all students.
Candidates should possess:
• DPI certification in Special Education
• Knowledge of Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and Individual Educational Plan (IEP) development;
• Strong skill set in data analysis, social skill support, and curricular accommodations and modifications;
• Exceptional skills in using technology/assistive technology to aid instruction;
• Certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or willing to become certified;
• Ability to conduct, coordinate, and facilitate appropriate special education evaluations and Individual Educational Plans in a timely manner;
• Ability to lead, support, and manage paraprofessionals under our direction;
• Ability to be a collaborative team member that is energetic, compassionate, and creative.
The District: Stone Bank School District is a PK-8 district servicing students in the Town of Oconomowoc, Merton, and the Village of Chenequa. Students typically transition to Arrowhead High School after completing 8th grade.
