The School District of Janesville is currently hiring for a Groundskeeper I (8.0 hours per day; 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) at the Educational Services Center.
Interested and qualified candidates should include a letter of interest, resume, and two (2) letters of recommendation when applying.
This is a year round position beginning September 16, 2025.
This position participates in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).
Insurance benefits are available with this position.

Insurance benefits are available with this position.
1. Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including backhoes, Toolcat, skid steer, trailers, plow truck, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, hedge clippers, chain saws, shovels, rakes, power washer, etc.
2. Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
3. Knowledge of general building maintenance.
4. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all district employee groups.
7. Requires knowledge and skills in grounds maintenance, landscape structures, retaining walls, fencing, sign installation, asphalt, concrete repair, grass mowing, snow removal, and tree/bush trimming of all school properties.
8. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to acquire a CDL license.
9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.
Previous experience is preferred.
