What You’ll Do

Under the guidance of certified teachers and administrator, you will:

  • Support classroom instruction by assisting with lessons, reinforcing concepts, and working one-on-one or in small groups.

  • Keep students engaged and supervised during class, transitions, lunch, recess, and other school settings.

  • Prepare classroom materials, learning spaces, and equipment to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

  • Collaborate by contributing ideas to lesson plans and enriching educational content.

  • Monitor student progress and behavior, helping reinforce expectations and positive behaviors.

  • Assist with basic tasks for students with special needs—including personal care, hygiene, and feeding when necessary.


What We’re Looking For

  • Prior experience in educational or youth-focused roles is welcomed.

  • Patience, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students learn and thrive.

  • Ability to follow direction, support teachers, and work cooperatively with staff.

  • Reliability, initiative, and professionalism in a classroom setting.

  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or paraprofessional certification is a plus.

  • Certifications like CPR, First Aid, or experience in special education are advantageous.


Working Environment

  • School-based role spanning indoor and outdoor environments, with varied noise levels and activity.

  • Physical expectations include standing, walking, occasional lifting, and dynamic engagement with students.
