Position Details
Greenfield High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head Track & Field Coach to lead the program for the 2025 season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for track & field, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to student-athlete development both on and off the field. This position requires organization, communication, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
Program Management: Organize and manage all aspects of the high school Track & Field team, including practices, meets, and athlete development.
Instruction & Development: Teach event-specific fundamentals, promote proper training techniques, and foster continuous skill growth for student-athletes.
Practice & Competition: Develop and implement daily practice plans; attend all scheduled competitions and events
Team Operations: Maintain team rosters, athlete emergency cards, and submit meet results and statistics as required.
Equipment Oversight: Manage inventory, distribution, and storage of uniforms, supplies, and equipment.
Administrative Duties: Attend required meetings with the Program Director and Athletics & Activities Department.
Culture & Leadership: Promote a team culture rooted in respect, accountability, and sportsmanship; model positive leadership and character development.
Compliance: Follow all district, conference, and WIAA rules and guidelines.
Other Duties: Perform additional duties related to the position as assigned by the Program Director and/or Director of Athletics & Activities.
Prior experience coaching track & field (head or assistant level)
Strong understanding of multiple event disciplines (sprints, distance, jumps, throws, etc.)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge of WIAA regulations and eligibility standards
