Part Time
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Provide guidance, safety, and quality care for school age students at specific schools for before/after school program.
  • Provide leadership, support, and serve as a role model to students at school sites.
  • Assist in the development of curriculum, program development, and facilitation of the school age program.
  • Follow the daily schedule in accordance with the program and state licensing guidelines.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and other staff members.
  • Answer parent concerns or make appropriate referral to Adventure Care Supervisor in a positive manner.
  • Participate in and assist with the planning of family events at schools occasionally.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings/trainings to comply with continuing education policies.
  • Assist in care for non-school days scheduled through Adventure Care (Vacation Fun Days).
  • Assist with planning and carrying out a daily program in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Licensing Regulations.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • This is a school year position. 
  • Hours will vary between 6:15 am – 8:30 am (Before Care) and 3:15 pm – 6:00 pm (After Care). 
  • Up to 25 hours per week (5 hours per day, 5 days per week).
  • Flexibility to work Before Care, After Care, or both.
WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE
  • $13.00-$15.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. 
  • There are no benefits offered with this position.

This position is funded by the Greenheck Turner Community Center Fund 80.

WHAT IT TAKES
  • Must be at least 17 years of age.
  • Must be willing to complete Early Childhood courses or work on Early Childhood courses.
  • Possess and demonstrate ability to interact with children on an ongoing positive basis at the child’s level.
  • Must possess current adult/child CPR with AED, or complete within six (6) months of hire date.
