Full Time
The School District of Whitefish Bay is seeking a first grade elementary classroom teacher to begin in the 2025-2026 school year at Cumberland Elementary School. A deep knowledge of literacy and math development, as well as teaching grounded in best practices, will serve this teacher well as they join a team with an expectation of collaborating and co-planning. Experience in a workshop model for ELA instruction and Illustrative Math is helpful. Candidates should have a desire and proven track record of nurturing students academically, socially, and emotionally in a classroom of diverse learners. With an expectation of continual growth for all students, candidates should understand the growth mindset and embrace the challenges of creating well managed classrooms that provide engaging instruction. Preference will be given to candidates with proven skills in problem solving, developing strong relationships with students, staff and families, and a strong work ethic.
