Duties of the Position: Encourages and promotes the academic, career and personal/social development for all students.  

Work Schedule of the Position: School Year-80% contract (4 days)

Additional Information: Serving Early Childhood Center & Montessori Public School (4K–6)

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative Art Educator to join our creative learning community. The ideal candidate will support foundational art skills, foster authentic student expression, and build strong relationships rooted in respect and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach developmentally appropriate art lessons grounded in foundational art concepts and techniques.

  • Foster a studio-like environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and self-expression.

  • Collaborate with colleagues through an Art Professional Learning Community (PLC) to align practices and share resources.

  • Honor Montessori and early childhood philosophies by promoting student independence and whole-child development.

  • Plan and support the setup of school-wide art shows and community events, including Artesoná.

  • display student artwork throughout the school to celebrate creativity and growth.

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students while promoting empathy and artistic confidence.

  • Maintain a well-organized and student-centered classroom with clear routines and strong, compassionate classroom management.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of abilities and developmental stages across 4K through 6th grade.
