Position Overview:
Mineral Point High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 9th–12th Grade Mathematics Teacher to join our exceptional team of educators. This position focuses on teaching Algebra 2, Applications of Algebra, Stats, PreCalculus, and AP Calculus. The ideal candidate will inspire a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, promote problem-solving and critical thinking, and foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment. We are looking for someone who values student-centered learning, builds strong relationships, and contributes positively to our school culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement rigorous and engaging mathematics instruction aligned with state and national standards.

Deliver content in Algebra 2, Applications of Algebra, Stats, PreCalculus, and AP Calculus in a clear, accessible, and relevant manner.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including real-world applications, project-based learning, and technology integration, to support diverse learners.

Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, perseverance, and a growth mindset around mathematics.

Build strong, supportive relationships with students to promote both academic achievement and personal growth.

Collaborate with colleagues across departments to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities and enhance curriculum alignment.

Use formative and summative assessments to measure student progress, inform instruction, and provide timely feedback.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those who need support and those who need enrichment.

Actively engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a collaborative and innovative math department.
Qualifications:

Strong content knowledge in mathematics, including upper-level high school courses such as PreCalculus and AP Calculus.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated classroom management strategies that foster a respectful and productive learning environment.

Passion for helping students develop confidence and competence in mathematics.
Preferred Attributes:
