QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in elementary education, middle childhood to early adolescence.

· Training and experience in:

 Emergent reading instruction and intervention strategies,

 CGI math or similar problem-solving approach,

Gradual Release of Responsibility Reading Model,

Common Core State Standards,

Hands-on and inquiry-based science approaches,

Designing and implementing integrated instructional opportunities that engage children in their learning, provide for individual needs, promote creativity, and challenge children to excel,

Using instructional technology to support student learning.

· Team teaching experience preferred.

· Knowledge of and experience with RtI, interventions, STAR 360, the scaffolding of learning, Differentiated Instruction, and Large Effect Size Strategies.

· Hands-on science, designing and implementing integrated curriculum, use of computers/mobile technology in instruction, Fountas and Pinnell reading assessment.

· Must be familiar with Response to Intervention (RtI), Positive Behavior Intervention, and Supports (PBIS), Large Effect Size teaching strategies, and a Professional Learning Community (PLC).

· Experience working with EL students and designing curricula to support their language development.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Have taken additional coursework in teaching reading. Ability and willingness to work in a collegial and team-teaching setting with staff. Willingness to become involved with staff and parent teams. Evidence of successful parent involvement strategies. Creative/innovative instructional techniques. Prior successful experience working with children with special needs (CWD, PACE, EL, etc.). Willingness to become involved in before or after-school teaching activities. Evidence of commitment to own professional growth. Evidence of a commitment to own professional growth, successful experience working with minorities, and willingness to accept extra duties to improve the school community.
