The School District of Westfield is seeking applicants for our open Physical Education teacher position. We are looking for a dynamic individual who holds, or is willing to obtain a valid Physical Education and Adaptive Physical Education license. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and positively contribute to a program that helps meet the educational needs of our students. This position will include working with students in grade 4K- 5 in our Coloma, Oxford and Westfield Elementary Schools.

Knowledge / Skills:
Knowledge of the teaching of reading in the elementary and middle school
Knowledge and ability to meet the needs of all learners
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information

License Requirement:
1530 Physical Education
1860 Adaptive Physical Education

Instruction and Assessment:
Analyze data to understand students’ strengths and weaknesses
Provide instruction individually or in small groups by implementing lessons or instructional activities to meet the student’s academic needs
Communicates regularly with the parents or guardians of the student
Use technology to strengthen the teaching / learning process
Performs other duties as assigned.
