Under the direct supervision of the Head Custodian, and in conjunction with the Buildings & Grounds Supervisor, this position maintains the building and equipment in a clean, orderly, functional, safe, and secure condition. The position interacts with a diverse group of students, visitors, and staff at all levels of the District.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Cleans, disinfects, sanitizes all building spaces and contents (rooms, halls, entrance, lavatories).
2. Performs basic repairs and maintains general use items (light bulbs, switch covers, painting).
3. Setup and takedown of facility use/event/lunch furniture and equipment as needed.
4. Clear walkways and building perimeter of snow and salt/sand as necessary.
5. Repair furniture, shades; secure broken windows
6. Set up and operate automatic machines and cleaning equipment.
7. Follow safety rules and procedures (OSHA, MSDS, PPE, Confined Spaces, AHERA, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES
1.  Serve as a positive role model.
2.  Stay free of any alcohol or illegal substance in the workplace in compliance with Policy 3122 throughout his/her employment in the District.
3.  Self-report custodial absenteeism to direct supervisor and maintain applicable records.
4.  Other duties as assigned.
