The School District of Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan is accepting applications for a Physical Education teacher and Athletic/Activities Director for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are seeking a collaborative educator with a growth mindset and strong classroom management who will develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide students with rigorous and high-quality learning experiences while considering the various needs and learning styles of students.

Strength & Agility - Mixed High School

PhyEd - Grade 9

Character Strong - Grade 8

PhyEd - Grade 7

Coordination of High School Athletic Programs, Co-curricular and Extra-curricular Activities to include:

• Direct, supervise, and evaluate the high school’s athletic and activities programs, including scheduling, budgeting, staffing, transportation, evaluating coaches, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable state, district, and WIAA policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.
• Hire, support, and evaluate coaches and advisors, fostering a culture of professionalism and student-centered leadership.
• Coordinate the use and maintenance of athletic facilities in collaboration with operations and grounds teams.
• Oversee event management, crowd control, emergency protocols, and public relations related to games and events.
• Promote engagement in athletics and activities, ensuring student participation opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, community organizations, boosters, and media.
