8 hours/day, 260 days/year (Monday - Friday)
Full Time
The School District of New Richmond is looking for school year Paraprofessionals and Tiger Pack Caregivers to support students with learning and behavioral disabilities, and also provide assistance with the before/after school program (Tiger Pack). These combined positions would work at an elementary building for Tiger Pack, and as a Paraprofessional. Positions are year-round and would work Tiger Pack on non school days and summers. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and background check. Experience/knowledge in working with students with disabilities is a plus. Tiger Pack responsibilities include:
1. Maintain constant supervision of students, ensuring their health and safety at all times.
2. Assist with establishing and preparing crafts and activities.
3. Assist with following the session schedule for the group of children he/she is responsible for.
4. Assist in supervising children and maintaining positive discipline and cleanliness in the multi-purpose room, playground, and other areas utilized by Tiger Pack.
5. Assist with maintaining children’s records, attendance, and reports as needed.
6. Attend staff meetings and professional development activities as required.
7. Perform other tasks as assigned.

2. Must be able to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.
3. Must be 18 years or older.
4. Have experience working with children.
5. Possess strong communications skills.
6. Able to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships.
7. Hold certification in CPR and first aid.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This work regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing and occasionally requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and operating machines; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, and observing general surroundings and activities; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. school offices/classrooms/passageways).
