The Verona Area School District is seeking applicants for the following position.

Qualifications
 
Education: degree and certification to teach is preferred.  Must have a high level of knowledge of the sport, rules, coaching techniques, etc. which would likely be gained by a combination of participation, prior experience and study.  State coaching license and advancement within the levels recommended.
 
Experience: requires prior participation in the sport plus 1-3 years coaching experience (preferably at the varsity level).  Must demonstrate prior administrative and public relations skills appropriate to the needs of the assignment.
 
Availability for and time commitment may include, but not be limited to the following: pre-season planning, meetings, practices after school, questions during school hours, competition, post season competition, tournaments, evenings, weekends, vacation periods and summer.
 
Must be certified and maintain certification in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and AED operation.
 
Bilingual (Spanish) skills are prioritized

Must have considerable knowledge of the sport, rules, coaching techniques, etc. which would likely be gained by a combination of participation, prior experience and study.

Prior participation in the sport required or sufficient involvement that demonstrates a level of advanced knowledge. 5 years of prior high school or college coaching experience is desired. but not required.

Availability for and time commitment may include, but not be limited to the following: In-season and out-of-season strength & conditioning programs, pre-season planning, meetings, practices after school, questions during school hours, competition, weekends, vacation periods and summer.

Must be proficient in developing the yearly budget and spending protocols along with keeping accurate records of all equipment and supplies. Must coordinate various fundraising activities. Must hire, supervise and direct a staff of 12-16 assistant coaches and game personnel.

Must be certified and maintain certification in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and AED operation.

Bilingual (Spanish) language skill are a plus
