WIVA is seeking a qualified and innovative educator to serve as a 5th grade teacher for our virtual school. This full-time, remote position requires a valid Wisconsin Teaching License with certification to teach 5th grade.  
 
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team member with strong knowledge of literacy practices and a creativity to engage young learners virtually.    They are organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a virtual environment while partnering with other educators and adults.
 
Required Qualifications:
 
Understanding/training of the Science of Reading and Wisconsin Act 20
 
Familiarity with digital tools and platforms 
 
Strong communciation skills as parental involvement is the key to success in a virtual environment.
 
This is a remote/work-from-home position with flexibility and the opportunity to make a broad impact across the virtual learning environment. We welcome applicants who are passionate about literacy and virtual education.
 

Work Hours: Available to students, parents, and staff from 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday - Friday or agreed upon hours.  

Work from home (10% travel for required events).  

Computer, monthly internet stipend, printer, soft phone provided. 

This position does have healthcare, vision, dental, 401K- match, stipends & bonuses. This is not a position within the Wisconsin Retirement System.
