St. Matthew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Reading Interventionist to support our mission of academic excellence rooted in faith. This part-time position is ideal for an educator passionate about literacy and student success, with a strong foundation in research-based reading practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted reading instruction and intervention to students in need of additional support.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administration to analyze data and implement effective strategies.

Utilize evidence-based practices aligned with Wisconsin Act 20 and current literacy research about the Science of Reading.

Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

Support a positive, faith-based learning environment in alignment with Catholic values.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (in Education or a related field is preferred)

Valid Wisconsin Reading teaching license (#1316/316) with a literacy or reading specialist certification (or in progress).

Knowledge and understanding of Wisconsin Act 20 and current research-based reading interventions.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in reading intervention or literacy coaching.

Familiarity with assessment tools and data-driven instruction.

Practicing Catholic preferred, but not required.
