- Be eligible or hold a current Developmental Level Wisconsin’s DPI licensure in Art
- Wisconsin teaching license 1550
- Ability and interest in coaching and other extracurricular positions is valued.
- High School Art Club is offered to the students (National Art Honor Society)
- Support and develop conditions and practices that ensure a “learner empowered” environment through the authentic implementation of the district’s policy on Personalization
- Support and develop conditions and practices that promote the 6 C’s of the district - creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, content, and curiosity
- Align practices that represent the student at the center of the learning through student voice, formative assessments, feedback, self-reflection, activities, reporting of student learning, etc.
- Analyze assessment results and use data to drive instruction and ensure the one constant, student learning
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively in a Professional Learning Community to promote continued student growth
- Design unit plans/activities through the use of content knowledge, strong literacy (critical reading) practices, knowledge of appropriate State Standards, an understanding of student needs, and available resources toward supporting a learner-driven and evidence-informed learning environment
- Establish a well-managed learning environment of respect and rapport, with clear routines and procedures
- Incorporate RtI and PBIS into the culture and learning environment
- Communicate high expectations for learning by ALL students and ensure that learning remains the one constant in the learning environment
- Act as a reflective practitioner to consider effectiveness, set goals, and ensure continued professional growth
- Seek out and participate in professional development opportunities
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Develop positive home/school relationships with diverse family structures
- Differentiate instruction and integrate technology
- Contribute to growing a positive school culture for students, staff, and community
- Support the school community beyond the classroom through committees and possible coaching roles
- Development of effective units that are aligned to district approved learning targets which are authentically known by students through assessments, goals, and activities
- Multiple instructional practices to benefit various learning styles and learning levels, and ultimately support a “learner-driven” environment
- Effective communicator with parents related to the learning environment and individual student
- Cultivate and support professional relationships with students, families, and staff that are positive, constructive and collaborative
- Co-facilitate the use of FAB Lab at the high school and incorporate into classes when appropriate
- Strong oral, written, technical and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Understanding of the transformation of K-12 education and the potential to be a building and /or district leader
- Sit or stand for prolonged periods and move between seated positions.
- Perform light physical work, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Communicate effectively on the telephone and in person.
- Move throughout the building, including in emergency situations.
- Operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- Complete job activities in an environment where background noise and frequent interruptions are the norm.
- Maintain concentration and focus on tasks requiring timeliness and accuracy.
