Position Details
The School District of Waupaca is looking for a talented full time Principal and District 4K Administrator to assist us in helping our students develop their capabilities and confidence to achieve their dreams and make the world a better place (SDW mission). This position is open starting July 1, 2025, due to the resignation of our current Chain Exploration Center Principal and District 4K Administrator.
This administrator must be committed to serving in a project based learning environment that is student-centered and experiential. The CEC’s mission is to provide a place where children explore their passions and gain a strong educational foundation through project based learning (PBL) in a collaborative community. The CEC fosters a learning environment that pulls together community, technology, and interpersonal relationships to build student understanding. Through a focus on exploration, student choice, authentic application of learning, and individualized instruction (key components of PBL), students develop success skills that will carry them boldly into the future. Learning experiences are standards-based, interdisciplinary investigations into essential social studies, fine arts, or science issues affecting students' lives, the natural environment, and/or their community. Student lead projects culminate in authentic products that serve a need in the community. PBL advisors develop curriculum around topics that capture student interests and passions, while enabling students to explore their role as agents of change in their community. Students work with advisors to create and progress through Personalized Learning Plans that address the standards. The ideal CEC Administrator candidate must be a passionate team player, willing and able to wear many hats in this multifaceted role, share responsibility for planning learning experiences, and assume shared ownership for the success of all students and the whole school community.
