Description: The South Shore School District seeks a dynamic, student-centered high school Mathematics teacher to join our team! Candidate must have certification to teach Advanced Placement Pre-Calculus and Calculus, or the willingness to obtain. The candidate we seek is an experienced teacher with leadership skills, bringing innovation and growth to mathematical experiences for students at South Shore.

Candidate Profile:     To be considered, candidates must contribute to a positive and welcoming culture of professionalism. The successful candidate is a person who brings teamwork and a fun, student-centered perspective to our team!  Candidates must integrate knowledge of the WI Mathematics Standards and adolescent development to ensure high levels of learning and strong relationships with students.  Candidates must also be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues to support students with graduating college & career readiness. You will be a great fit for our team if you love working with middle and high school students and are able to motivate and engage them as learners!

Licensure and Other Requirements:

  • A valid teaching license in high school mathematics

  • A hunger for feedback and continuous growth and learning

  • Ability to assess student skills, provide constructive feedback, and track progress toward mastering competencies.

  • Highly effective communication, teamwork, listening, and interpersonal skills.

About Us: The South Shore School District is a small, rural district in Port Wing, WI near the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. We are a 4K-12 building with about 210 students districtwide. South Shore has a very supportive community, small class sizes, and dedicated staff who love what they do!
