Eagle River Elementary School is seeking a passionate, collaborative, and student-centered 4th Grade teacher to join its amazing family. This teacher will work within a Professional Learning Community model and positive work environment at Eagle River Elementary School, sharing in the collective responsibility to ensure strong student outcomes. 

Relationships are at the heart of our classrooms, with teachers getting to know students and supporting their individual dreams and goals. We are excited to welcome a candidate who brings a solid understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), along with experience and skill in implementing research-based instructional strategies. The ideal candidate will foster a rich, positive learning environment and effectively integrate technology into the curriculum to enhance student engagement and achievement. 

On top of being able to work in our incredible schools, the candidate will be living in a beautiful northwoods community that is supportive of education. The schools are nestled in the woods near hiking trails, gardens, school forests and the precise facilities that have state of the art resources available for teaching staff.

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

  • Design and implement engaging, hands-on lessons aligned to NPSD’s promise standards and essential learning targets and UDL practices to meet diverse student needs

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom through Responsive Classroom practices.

  • Use formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted support or enrichment.

  • Collaborate weekly with the 4th-grade team within a PLC to plan instruction, analyze data, and adjust instructional strategies.

  • Communicate regularly with families, team members, and support staff to build strong partnerships.
