Position Overview:
We seek a passionate, innovative, culturally responsive educator to join our middle school team as a STEAM and Cultural Language Experience (CUE) teacher. This dual-role position provides students in grades 5–8 with a dynamic, hands-on learning experience that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) and fosters global awareness through introductory language and cultural exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
STEAM Instruction (Grades 5–8)

• Design and deliver interdisciplinary lessons integrating science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math.

• Promote inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

• Incorporate real-world problem-solving and design challenges into the curriculum.

• Utilize technology and project-based learning strategies to enhance student engagement.

Cultural Language Experience (CUE)

• Introduce students to a new language (Spanish and German), focusing on basic communication skills.

• Explore the culture, history, and traditions of the language’s native speakers.

• Develop lessons that foster cultural appreciation and global citizenship.

• Integrate music, food, art, geography, and storytelling into language and culture instruction.

Qualifications:

• Experience in project-based learning and integrated instruction preferred.

• Passion for STEAM education and cultural studies.

• Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Additional certifications in Spanish and German desired.
