This is a full time (40 hours per week) position to serve the needs of the Altoona Intermediate and Middle Schools primarily, but assistance may be required at any location in the District. The standard hours are 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday during the school year; however, snow removal, activities and emergencies may require different or additional hours. Summer working hours are 40 hours per week, but can be either 8 hour or 10 hour days, as long as the needs of the District are met.
 
District Overview: The School District of Altoona serves students in Early Childhood through Grade 12 in Altoona, WI. Altoona is located in west central Wisconsin in the heart of the Chippewa Valley and is currently one of the fastest growing cities in Wisconsin. Contiguous to Eau Claire, Altoona has easy access to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley Technical College. The School District of Altoona serves a student population of 1,800+ students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess high school diploma or formal equivalent
Maintain a valid Wisconsin drivers license (or ability to secure within six months) and good driving record
Demonstrates good work habits
Must be able to use custodial equipment
Must be able to lift and move 70 pounds
Must have basic math, reading and writing skills
Must have basic plumbing, cleaning, electrical and painting skills
Current certification in first aid and CPR (or secure such certification within the first semester of employment)
