Position Overview: The teacher delivers quality instruction in a stimulating learning environment that promotes academic excellence among all students. The teacher educates all students to reach their greatest potential.
 
Qualifications: - Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in Family & Consumer Education (1210), grades 6-12 - Must be certified or willing to work towards Child Services (1211), Food Services (1213), and dual credit health career pathway courses - ServSafe ® certified or willing to be certified - Must be knowledgeable in the Wisconsin FCS Education Standards - Willingness to advise clubs and activities within the curricular area Other Desired Qualifications: Experience in the areas of Family and Consumer Education and related areas of health care, child development/family, food and nutrition, cooking, food chemistry, consumer economics, general sanitation, and school/business partnerships.
 

Essential Job Functions:

Professional Knowledge: Demonstrates an understanding of the curriculum, subject content, and diverse needs of students by providing meaningful learning experiences.

Instructional Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and educational objectives.

Instructional Delivery: Employ a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote active student participation.

Assessment for and of Learning: Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, provide constructive feedback, and track academic performance.

Learning Environment: Uses resources, routines, and procedures to provide a respectful, safe, positive, student-centered environment that is conducive to student engagement and learning.

Professionalism: Demonstrates behavior consistent with legal, ethical, and professional standards, contributes to the profession, and engages in professional growth that results in improved student learning.
