The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District (also known as Brookwood), located in the beautiful Driftless Region of Southwest Wisconsin, is seeking quality applicants for a 4th grade teaching position. Our 4th grade teaching team consists of this posted position and two other full-time fourth-grade classroom teacher with approximately 15-25 students per section. Candidates should have strengths in teaching reading/language arts, math, science, social studies, and a strong technology integration skillset. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and understanding of the Wisconsin State Standards and have a passion for helping children succeed. Candidates must work collaboratively and have these, but not limited to, the understanding of:
1. Differentiated Instruction
2. Data-based decision making
3. RTI Framework
4. Understand strategies for English Language Learners
5. Positive and Energetic classroom teaching style
6. Be intrinsically motivated to provide the best learning experiences for all students
The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District is centrally located in a rural area between our three communities and our total school population is approximately 600 students (PreK-12th grade in one school building). Our community is very supportive of the school district, we have incredibly dedicated staff members, and it is a great learning & teaching environment.
