Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have experience and training in Science courses, with a Biology and Life Sciences emphasis. Candidates secondary certified and trained are highly recommended.  The ability to communicate and collaborate with school staff and parents is necessary.

License Requirement:    1088 or 1601 or 1637 or 1634

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly with school administrators and staff to develop, implement, and evaluate Science initiatives, curriculum, and instructional plans that are age appropriate.

• Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals through a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments.

• Collaborate with 6 - 12 Science teachers to develop a comprehensive Science program. 

• Collaborate with Math and STEM Departments to integrate standards into courses.

• Support the ongoing development and implementation of the district Science initiatives.

• Attend professional development opportunities to support instructional practices and pedagogy in current research as assigned.

• Participate in Professional Learning Community (PLC) at building level, district level, and beyond.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the district administrator.
