Position Details
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in elementary education, middle childhood to early adolescence.
Training and experience in:
Implementing Wisconsin State Standards
Using the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model for all subject areas
Conducting Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop
Effective use of early reading, math instruction, and intervention strategies
Hands-on, inquiry-based science, and social studies approach
Designing and implementing integrated instructional opportunities that engage children in their learning, provide for individual needs, promote creativity, and challenge children to excel
Experience with RtI, the scaffolding of learning, and differentiated instruction
Understanding of PBIS and Restorative Practices
Using instructional technology to support student learning.
Team teaching experience preferred.

Ability and willingness to work as part of a collegial team.
Skilled in classroom management and student engagement strategies.
Successful experience working with a diverse student population (special education, multilingual learners, students from divergent ethnic and racial backgrounds, etc.) in an integrated setting.
Participation in school-wide activities.
Evidence of successful parent involvement strategies.
