Berlin Middle School is looking for an energetic, dedicated and innovative individual to join our staff.  BMS believes that a school counselor is crucial in student success through preventive services and a comprehensive counseling program that addresses academic, career and personal/social development of all students.  The ideal candidate is someone who is a highly skilled communicator, compassionate while seeking to collaboratively problem-solve with parents, staff and other agencies. The BMS counselor will work closely with administration to support all students, in addition to problem solving with grade-level teams.

Berlin Middle School is a community of 275 students that engages all learners with caring adults and offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to explore their interests and strengths.  We focus on the whole child in academics so students are highly supported in the core academic areas, while allowing them to explore various electives from art, music, foreign language, physical education and health and Project Lead the Way (PLTW).  We focus on the social emotional development of adolescents and skills that will make them ready for their futures beyond the Berlin Area School District.

Berlin Middle School is one of three schools that make up the Berlin Area School District. Clay Lamberton Elementary (4K-5) and Berlin High School (9-12) sit on the same campus as Berlin High School and serve as a hub of activity for the greater Berlin community. The Berlin Area School District is composed of 14 municipalities, with the City of Berlin at the center.  Berlin is a rural community with a population of 5,500 located approximately 20 minutes west of Oshkosh and 10 minutes north of Green Lake. The Fox River runs through the center of the historic Victorian downtown. Agriculture, health services, education, light industry and retail shops comprise Berlin’s economy.
