Position Details
The Verona Area School District is seeking applicants for the following position.
Stoner Prairie Elementary School
Secretary – 11 month (the job description can be found here)
1.0 FTE; 40 hours/week; 11 month position
Duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain school website and social media.
Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
Responsible for maintaining student records in the student information system as well as cum files.
Responsible for assisting in the design, class lists, and student schedules. Responsibilities also include running multiple reports and assisting in the registration of new students. Oversees/coordinate report cards. Responsible for reports for the Department of Public Instruction including student enrollment, attendance, discipline, participation, and school performance.
Responsible for data entry into the DPI WSLS, ISES.
Work with site administration to coordinate a variety of activities. Perform reception duties by answering the telephones and security system, directing staff, students and visitors, answering general questions, and other tasks as they arise. Provide secretarial and clerical support to administrative staff, teachers and students.
Education: Minimum of some post-secondary education with 2-5 years experience in student/data management systems preferred (i.e., Power School or other similar student/staff information system). Experience in the use of database and spreadsheet is required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills
Ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and enthusiastic about working with elementary school learners, staff and families in a diverse and progressive educational setting
Bilingual (Spanish) language skills are prioritized
