The School District of Westfield is accepting applications for a full-time English teacher to work with students at Westfield Area High School.  We are seeking an energetic and dynamic educator who holds, or is willing to obtain a valid English license to join our talented staff.

Classes taught: Honors English 9, Honors English 10 and English 3. Teachers are encouraged to add classes to their course offerings that suit their interests, the interests of students, and the changing needs of the workforce. Teachers have the freedom to propose and implement new course offerings in order to best provide students the skills needed to be successful throughout their lives.

Requirements/Qualifications: Must be certified or willing to become certified with an English Wisconsin DPI license. Must possess knowledge of current educational methodology and practices. Ideal candidates are energetic, creative and highly skilled at developing positive relationships with colleagues & students.

Knowledge / Skills:
Knowledge of the teaching of English at the high school level.
Knowledge and ability to meet the needs of all learners
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information

License Requirement:
English

Instruction and Assessment:
Analyze data to understand students’ strengths and weaknesses
Provide instruction individually, in small groups, and classroom settings by implementing lessons or instructional activities to meet the student’s academic needs
Communicates regularly with the parents or guardians of the student
Use technology to strengthen the teaching / learning process
Performs other duties as assigned.
