Full Time
The New Glarus School District seeks a full time Educational Interventionist to start with the 2025-26 school year to provide targeted academic support and interventions for students in need of additional assistance. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies that help students succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ learning needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide small-group or one-on-one instruction in core academic areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to support student learning.
- Utilize research-based intervention strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide reports to stakeholders.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid Wisconsin teaching certification or ability to obtain one. A Wisconsin 316-Reading Teacher or 317-Reading Specialist license is preferred.
- Experience working with students who require academic intervention.
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).
- Background in literacy or math intervention programs.
- Familiarity with educational assessment tools.
