Shawano Community Middle School has an opening for a Physical Education Teacher begining with the 2025-2026 school year.  The middle school physical education teacher is responsible for planning and implementing physical education activities, monitoring students, and evaluating student outcomes. The physical education teacher possesses energy and enthusiasm to maximize each student’s potential through the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will transfer into a healthy lifestyles. The Physical Education Teacher records and maintains student information. He or she is responsible for communicating with all parties involved in the education of the student. This position will require licensure in adaptive physical education.

• Creates an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.

• Plans instruction consistent with the School’s approved curriculum for Physical Education (PE).

• Creates a supportive learning environment for all students that encourages social and physical interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation.

• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.

• Prepares for classes as assigned and shows evidence of lesson preparation upon request.

• Effectively organizes space, equipment, and students.
