QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in Family & Consumer Education (1210), grades 6-12.

·         Must be certified or willing to work towards Child Services (1211), Food Services (1213), and dual credit health career pathway courses.

·         ServSafe ® certified or willing to be certified.

·         Must be knowledgeable in the Wisconsin FCS Education Standards.

·         Willing to work as a team to provide common, rigorous opportunities within the classroom.

·         Willingness to advise clubs and activities within the curricular area.

 

OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the areas of Family and Consumer Education and related areas of health care, child development/family, food and nutrition, clothing/fashion, sewing, cooking, food chemistry, consumer economics, housing and interior design, general sanitation, and school/business partnership.

Willing to support the North High School mission. Committed to building and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Willing to make decisions in the best interests of students and staff. Ability to adapt, collaborate, and flourish in an ever-changing educational environment. Sheboygan North High School is seeking a student-centered and reflective teacher who is committed to providing students with a rigorous and high-quality learning experience. A desire to meet the needs of all students is paramount. Candidates must be willing and able to work well as part of the department and building teams. Knowledge of effective literacy strategies and the application of said strategies are also desired. In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate appropriate use of a wide variety of instructional strategies and have a working knowledge of the state standards.
