Rio Middle/High School is seeking a dedicated science educator to join our team starting with the 2025-2026 school year. This specific teaching assignment focuses on teaching biology and life science courses to students in grades 8-12. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching adolescents, enjoy building positive relationships and working with effective teams, value innovation and be forward-thinking, and strive for continuous improvement. Candidates should be well-versed in best practices regarding science, be able to implement data-driven decision-making, relevant grading and assessment principles, use technology to increase student learning outcomes, and differentiate instruction to best meet the needs of diverse learners. The ability teach, or willingness to become certified to teach AP or CAPP courses is a plus. 
 
Candidates should possess, or have the ability to possess, license #1601 - Broad Field Science and/or #1605 - Biology. Additional science certifications are also desired. 
 
Rio Middle/High School is part of the Rio Community School District, a small yet vibrant community located in Columbia County. Our District regularly "Exceeds Expectations" on the school report card.
