Speech and Language Pathologist - Vacancy ID: 229193

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Speech and Language Pathologist(#820) (SLP) to join our team for the 2025-26 school year. The SLP will provide speech and language services to students in need, supporting their communication, academic, and social development (articulation, receptive and expressive language). 

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders (articulation, receptive and expressive language). 
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct, in-direct and virtual therapy in individual and group settings based on student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom.
• Monitor and document student progress while maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
• Conduct screenings and evaluations to determine initial eligibility and continuing eligibility for speech and language services.
• Assist in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) assessments and interventions as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student transition planning.
• Stay current with best practices, research, and professional development opportunities in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid Wisconsin DPI License (#820 – Speech and Language Pathologist).
• Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of speech-language development, intervention strategies, and assistive communication devices.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not required.
