The Unified School District of Antigo is Hiring a Special Education Teacher (K-12) for the 2025-26 School Year

About Us:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Special Education teacher (K-12) who is dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs and fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address students' unique learning needs.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to support student success in inclusive and self-contained settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective implementation of IEP goals.
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and independence.
  • Work within Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to share best practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and compliance with special education laws and policies.
  • Participate in professional development and district-wide initiatives to enhance instructional skills.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin DPI Certification in Special Education (K-12).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, behavior management strategies, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
  • Experience with assistive technology, differentiated instruction, and inclusive practices preferred.
